Since
1970, Pediatric Cancer Foundation has raised substantial funds to aid sick
children and those who treat them.
The
Foundation has purchased technologically advanced state-of-the art equipment
and instruments that have enormously enhanced the success rate in delicate
operations to remove tumors. One of those instruments, the
Harmonic Scapel, was purchased as a result of last year's Swimathon
program, "Kids Swim for Kids."
Pediatric
Cancer Foundation has also funded new research in childhood tumors and
blood diseases, and promoted parent-patient education in pediatric hematology,
oncology and surgery. We support a Pediatric Cancer Foundation
In-Patient Unit and PCF Infusion Rooms.
We
fund institutions that are leaders in pediatric cancer research and are
centers to which children from all parts of the continent come to be diagnosed
and treated.
It
is our mission to sponsor physicians and researchers who treat pediatric
cancer patients in hospitals such as Children's Hospital of New York-Presbyterian (formerly Babies and
Children's Hospital), Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, The Hassenfeld Children's Center at NYU Hospital's Center, Schneider Children's Hospital at North Shore LIJ Health Systems, and Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center.
Pediatric
Cancer Foundation graciously thanks all of our contributors for their generous
financial support.
