NEWS...

On Wednesday, October 24, 2007, Pediatric Cancer Foundation hosted its annual Better Shop Around boutique located at Ridgeway Country Club. This fundraiser featured over 35 vendors selling fine jewelry, home accessories, stationery, custom clothing, children’s gifts and much more.

Stefanie Mittman, President of Pediatric Cancer Foundation, applauds Boutique Chairs: Marsha Walker and Joyce Kaplan for producing this successful event for the 8th year. “Although this boutique takes place on one day it takes an entire year to coordinate every last detail. Thank you Marsha Walker and Joyce Kaplan as well as Boutique guests and vendors for helping us to "hold the hand of a child."

PCF thanks Educational Warehouse® in the NY area for having a special sale for our organization from Dec. 4-15, where 10% of pre-tax proceeds of anyone who mentions PCF will go to Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

A special thank you to Jimmy Fink and the SHS Fight Against Pediatric Cancer Club.

Jim Smith's Karate SchoolTHANK YOU to Jim Smith's Karate School who created gift bags for 60 kids who survived one year of cancer treatment.

"We helped because we can. It really doesn't take a lot of time and effort to help those in need, and to our school it's rewarding. We also think it's important to teach younger kids the value of helping others. We look forward to helping you again."

The Maria Farari Hospital, or Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center has on permanent display a 'village' of miniature rooms. PCF has created a room to be a part of that collection. It is a tiny version of our 'office' containing miniaturized books, journals, stationary, brochures, checks, invitations, photographs, news clippings, mail, etc., all specific to PCF.

It represents almost 35 years of work, energy and excitement leading to success (note drawer filled with dollar bills) as well as our dedication and commitment towards our mission. Thanks to our generous and loyal supporters. We take great pride in Pediatric Cancer Foundation.

Since 2000, PCF summer fundraisers money has been supporting harmonic scalpels and surgical digital video equipment. This summer, funds raised by participants will go to support the purchase of a Fiber Optic Surgical Light, a device that mounts on a headband and is used in the operating room for increased visibility during surgery.

The participating camps list is on our Swimathon page.
