Dear Friends,
Countless children are diagnosed with cancer every day. Their lives are a
constant struggle for survival. Please join Pediatric Cancer Foundation in our
continuing mission to eradicate childhood cancer.
Pediatric Cancer Foundation was formed in 1970 by a grateful parent. We fund
institutions that are leaders in pediatric cancer research including Children’s
Hospital of New York-Presbyterian, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center,
The Hassenfield Children’s Center at NYU Hospitals Center, Schneider Children’s
Hospital at North Shore LIJ Health System and Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital
at Westchester Medical Center. Contributions also provide seed money to
finance new protocols and therapies for diseases that were once incurable,
support programs in the field of pediatric oncology, hematology and surgery,
parent-patient education programs and the purchase of state-of-the-art
equipment and instruments.
We are grateful for your loyalty and want you to realize that your dollars mean
life and hope to countless children and their families. Although the incidence
of childhood cancer is not diminishing and it still remains the number one nonaccidental
killer of children, research has dramatically improved the survival
rate of children stricken with this devastating illness. We are optimistic that with
your generosity we can continue to make a difference in our mission to cure
childhood cancer and brighten the lives of young patients today.
Thank you for being there to... hold the hand of a child.
Sincerely,
The Journal Committee
