Eric Greenberg Goldy, with his sister Taylor and mother Roberta Greenberg, went to visit Dr. William Carroll at Hassenfeld Center at NYU. They had a tour of the facility to learn how funds were used at the center because both kids have run fundraisers for PCF; Dr. Carroll's project receives funding from PCF. The current project that the Greenberg Goldy family is involved with is an annual Bowling Event.

Pediatric Cancer Foundation hosted a Carnivale fundraiser, Thursday, November 20, 2008, at Strata in Manhattan. Two hundred guests attended.

Stefanie Mittman, President of Pediatric Cancer Foundation, applauds Advisor, Judith Elkins and Event Co-chairs Stefanie Bartell-Zednik, Jill Hirsch, Jennifer Hirschhorn, Dana Hokin, Suellen Singer and Beth Rothman for their countless hours spent in producing this spectacular event. Additional heartfelt recognition to our speakers and sponsors for helping us to... hold the hand of a child.

Guest speakers included Dr. Matthias A. Karajannis, recipient of the Pediatric Cancer Foundation’s Young Investigator Award and Coco and Bruce Lefkowitz, proud parents of 6, who courageously fought a winning pediatric battle in their own family. In addition, there was a silent auction with many opportunities to help the fight against pediatric cancer.

Offered for 'sale' at the CAREnivale event was an opportunity to raise funds for the Young Investigator Award, a project under the auspices of Dr. William Carroll. Dr.Karajannis addressed the group, thanking Pediatric Cancer Foundation for supporting his research aimed at investigating biological processes leading to childhood cancer to develop new therapies targeted at disrupting pathways unique to the tumor cell. "We are working to identify new methods of customizing treatment so children can receive effective therapy without unnecessary exposure to drugs with potentially debilitating side effects" explained Dr. Karajannis.
